Packaging & Labeling Requirements
(B) A marijuana establishment shall ensure that all marijuana and marijuana products sold or transferred to a consumer or to another marijuana establishment are packaged in accordance with the following requirements: (4) The package shall be opaque and not designed to appeal to persons under twenty-one years of age, and shall not bear any seal, flag, crest, coat of arms, or other insignia that could reasonably be mistaken to be an official government seal or that could be mistaken for a product that has been endorsed or approved by a government entity.
Your packaging must be completely opaque (you can't see through it) and must not look like it's targeting anyone under 21. This means no cartoon characters, bright candy-like colors, or designs that appeal to kids. Also, never use anything that looks like a government seal, badge, or official stamp — even if it's just decorative. Inspectors look for this specifically. Violations here carry fines of $1,000–$5,000 per incident.
